Mavin Records is a Nigerian record label founded in 2012 by Michael Collins Ajereh, professionally known as Don Jazzy. The label was established after the dissolution of Mo’Hits Records, and it quickly became one of the most influential music labels in Nigeria.
Formation and Early Years
Don Jazzy co-founded Mo’Hits Records with D’banj in the early 2000s. After the label dissolved in 2012, Don Jazzy launched Mavin Records with the goal of supporting new talent in the Nigerian music industry. The label’s early roster included artists such as Tiwa Savage, Wande Coal, Dr SID, D’Prince, and Korede Bello.
